Answer from Bridal Expert Angela:
Hi Hayley. You’ve come to the right place! This wedding favours link will take you to about 500 different wedding favours, place card holders, and other similar items from both the Kate Aspen Favors and Wedding Star Favours line of products. They will give you many ideas. Some are funky and casual like the heart shaped calculator found under practical favours, and others are more elegant like the heart shaped wine stopper. I personally love the bride and groom swivel sticks with the top of the swivel sticks having a top hat or a bridal veil. Very cute.
If you look for the SHOP FOR heading, there are links to all kinds of great products that will give you an idea of what is available so you can decide what you would like to do. Look at the Wedding Cake Topper link—there are fun toppers along with the more traditional. If you continue to scroll down the page below SHOP FOR, you will find a heading called WEDDING CATEGORIES. There are lots of articles on wedding themes, colours, and so much more that will give you a lot of ideas for helping to define your theme.
I suggest you choose a theme that matches the kind of decorations and you can get, as that makes it a lot easier. I often get questions from people who have chosen a theme and then can’t find anything to go with it. If you choose a theme that does not have product that can easily fit into it, you then need to get creative and make your own decorations and party favours which is very time consuming. From feedback that I have received on this blog, brides will often change their theme to match the favours and decorations that they like the best and that are readily available.
Choosing a theme should be something the bride and groom choose together that reflects who they are. Show them the products available, and I am sure they will find something that is just right for them. It may be as simple as a red and white heart theme, or a casual beach theme. Maybe they want their theme to be the season they are having their wedding in. If they enjoy wine, there are a variety of wine favours and decorations that would make a great wine theme. There are many products and many themes that can be applied to those favours. Check them out and have fun.
Feel free to email again if you have more specific questions. Enjoy!
