Question from Henrietta:
I want a tree branch for a centrepiece. Other than cutting a limb off a tree, where can these be purchased. Thank you for your help. I need these for reception centerpieces.
Answer from Bridal Expert Angela:
Hi Henrietta and congratulations on your upcoming wedding. I have a number of questions for you. Do you need a live branch with green leaves, or do you just need the branch. How big a branch do you need? Do you live in a city or in the country?
Not knowing any of these things, I have the following answer. If you just need the wood of the branch, you can get dead branches from a forest or a tree nursery. Companies that prune trees might save the branches for you, or you can go to their job site and get branches as they are pruning trees.
There are stores that sell silk plants that have all kinds of branches. (look in the yellow pages) The larger chain craft stores also have decorative branches. You can try them. Without knowing more of what you are looking for, I can’t really answer you any more specifically than that. Hopefully this will help.
