Question from Zarina:
Hi Angela, I already bought my dress but I’m having problems on what veil would be appropiate for my type of dress… My dress is a Princess type of dress with Tulle skirt. Could you help me choose which one works better with tulle? and also the dress has the corset beaded… Thank you!!!
Answer from Bridal Expert Angela:
Hi Zarina. It is very difficult to answer your question without knowing more details like: Do you want a long or short veil? Is this a formal or casual wedding? How much moving around will you be doing as part of your wedding day?
If the day is formal, I would choose a long (floor length) veil. If more casual, or if you are doing a lot of moving around, a shorter veil would be more appropriate. This is about comfort on your wedding day. The style the last few years has been slowly moving to shorter veils. If you have a tiara, or beaded headpiece, then a shorter veil would be perfect (irregardless of whether it is a formal or informal wedding).
Most any type of veil will work. If the dress is simple, you can go more detailed with the veil. If the dress is heavily beaded, or really makes a statement, then go with a more simple veil. It is hard to answer without seeing the dress and the veil, but these guidelines should keep you on the right track.
