What Size Vases Should I Use For My Wedding Table Centrepieces? – Ask the Expert Answer

I plan on using square silver vases with silk flowers on my tables.  The tables are oblong and I wanted to know if 6"x6" vases would be appropriate given the fact that there will be dinner plates, salad plates and bread plates together with three votives on each side of the centerpieces.  I was considering 7"x7" but I think they may be overpowering with all that is on the tables.

Hi Mary, congratulations on your upcoming wedding.  You are not telling me the size of the dinner plates, etc., so it is difficult to tell which would be better.  I would choose the 6" x 6" vases for your reception centrepieces.  That way if you need more volume, you can create it with more flowers, or greater height with your flowers.
