Question from Dawn:
I would like to know how do you plan a small wedding and a reception or a nice one with a tight budet of 2000-3000 dollars? I live in NJ everyplace I been is very $$$ … Can you please help me??
Answer from Bridal Expert Angela:
Hi Dawn, and congratulations on your upcoming wedding. When looking for an inexpensive place to have a wedding, you have a number of options. The best way is to hold the party in your home, or the home of someone you know that would let you use their garden, or home for the reception.
Another option is to use civic sites. Every city or state has some kind of reception space available, often with catering available, at a much less expensive price than a hotel. Some examples are in city park buildings, or at historical sites. Another option is a local restaurant that has a private room. Some restaurants even have a room that has a dance floor/stage area. You will have to phone around to various places to see what is available, what services they offer, and what costs are involved.
Good luck, and if you have further questions, please feel free to ask.
