How Do I Choose A Wedding Theme? – Ask The Expert Answer

Question from Aseel:

I have a ring on my finger, yet I’m trying to see what kind of theme do I want.  I’m confused between summer and Spring.  I hate winter and fall so I don’t know which one to pick?

Answer from Bridal Expert Angela:

Hi Aseel, and congratulations on your upcoming wedding.  Both spring and summer are great for having a wedding.  As a theme, both are quite similar using flowers and colour to express the theme.  What flowers do you like?  What colours are you thinking of for your wedding?  Is one time of year easier for your guests to come to your wedding?  These things should all be considered when picking a season.

People often get caught up in picking a theme, but is it really necessary?  No, it isn’t.  What would you do differently if you did a spring or summer theme?  What elements do you like better?  When brides get stuck on choosing a theme, I usually direct them to think about what they want to express with their theme.  You don’t need a "theme name".  Just express yourself in the way you want to, and a name may emerge.  If not, it doesn’t matter.

The whole purpose of a wedding theme is to express yourself as a couple, and share that with your guests.  Another way find a theme is to explore the thousands of wedding favours available to you.  Each one expresses a different wedding theme, and you will surely find something there to get you inspired.

Congratulations, and if you have any questions, feel free to email.
