Question from David:
Hi Angela, First of all, great site as it has provided us with loads of information and ideas.
My question is this: We would like our invitations to be ivory in colour and were wondering what the best colour of ink would be. We were thinking of silver but not foil and I am slightly concerned that it will look grey. Thanks.
Answer from Bridal Expert Angela:
Hi David. Yes, silver can look grey. I have on occasion seen a true silver ink, but it depends upon where you purchase your wedding invitations. You can ask the supplier for a sample invitation to see if it is acceptable to you, or just ask them. They will be able to tell you, and suggest an alternative if your first choice doesn’t work out.
Ivory is a neutral colour, and any colour will work well with it. Depending upon what colours you are using in your wedding (bridesmaid dresses, decorations), you might consider using that colour. When you choose your invitations, a list of ink colours are provided for you to choose from.
