Question from Julie:
I am getting married in 3months and sent out my invitations about 4 days ago. My aunt called me to ask me if we were having a dinner following the ceremony, and I said yes. Then I realized that on my wedding invitations I wrote " Reception immediately following ceremony" I forgot to add "Dinner and Reception following ceremony"…. What should I do, it’s too late to re-do the invitations as thay are all sent out. I did send a reply card with the invitation so some ppl. might get it that there’s a meal…..but what should I do to make sure everyone is aware that there is a dinner???? Help!!!
Answer from Bridal Expert Angela:
Hi Julie. Most people will assume that there is a dinner, or they will, like your aunt, phone and ask if they want more details. The only other option you have is to phone all your invited guests and tell them that there is a dinner. But I would not bother. Most people will get it, since every wedding I ever went to had a dinner with the reception. I assume you have given the time and location of the dinner and reception? If not, then I would start phoning.
