How Should I Handle ‘Save The Date’ Cards? – Ask The Expert Answer

Question from Eloisa:

These questions just keep popping up in my head. I’m debating about sending "Save the Date" cards or not but I was just wondering that on the "Save the Date" cards if I were to put "Regrets Only" and my name & number and they were to call  to tell me that they would not be able to come to the event should I still send them an invitation?

Answer from Bridal Expert Angela:

Yes, you can do what you are proposing, but it is not proper etiquette.  Save the Date cards are there to allow your guests time to plan to attend your anniversary.  When the invitation arrives, they will then make a decision.  Expecting those guests to make a decision so far in advance is unfair to them.

Some of them might know right away, and may call you anyway.  But you can’t expect that of them.

Hope that answers your question.  If you have any more, please feel free to email.
