What is The Timeline for Wedding Invitations? – Ask The Expert Answer

Question from Teresa:

I am getting married on July 25, 2009.  When is it the lastest date I could send out the invations.  I did send…save the dates cards two weeks ago.  I need help.

Answer from Bridal Expert Angela:

Hi Teresa.  Usually save-the-date cards are sent out 6 months (or more) in advance to out of town guests.  Invitations are usually sent out 3 months ahead for out of town guests, and 2 months before the wedding for in town guests.
