What Kind Of Flowers Go With Lilacs For A Spring Wedding? – Ask The Expert Answer

I’m getting married next spring and I already picked out a color for my bridesmaids. I just need to know kind of flowers would go nice with lilacs?

Hi Rosa, and congratulations on your upcoming wedding.  I really don’t have enough information to answer your question properly.  What is your bridesmaid’s colour(s)?  Are you using any accent colours?  What part of the world do you live in (that will affect the kinds of flowers that are available in spring)? 

I suggest you define your flower budget first.  Then list all the flowers, boutonnieres, bouquets, centrepieces, etc. that you need.  I made this video on Wedding Flowers that outlines how to get to the question of "what flower".  There are a lot of things that need to go before that question. 

Are you having a formal wedding, or is it casual?  That will also dictate the kinds of flowers you might use.  Your florist is the flower expert, and they can advise you what is available in your region in the spring, and what price points your choices come in.  Your final choices will depend upon the availability of flowers, what colours they can get them in, and upon your flower budget.
