Want A Cruise Wedding? Here’s How.

Levi and I went on a cruise to the Caribbean a week ago and had a wonderful time. While waiting in line to get onto the cruise ship, we saw a young bride with her family boarding the boat. That got me into wondering about what it takes to have a wedding on a cruise ship. What’s the cost? How long can the reception be? Do the guests have to pay to board the ship? Who coordinates these weddings? All of these questions were floating through my head.

I decided to ask one of the workers on the cruise ship if they had any answers. The worker said that each cruise line has different prices, different packages, but the one I went on gives a lot of benefits.

1.       They give you a Wedding Coordinator
  1. You can personalize your wedding
  2. You can have your wedding at any of the destinations during port hours
  3. A Wedding Officiant  to legalize the wedding
  4. A Marriage Certificate
  5. Wedding Cake
  6. Private Selection of Sparkling Wine or Champagne
  7. Photography Services

It seems like if you get married on a cruise ship they pretty much take care of everything. The cruise ship employee didn’t know the exact pricing, but I would check it out and if it’s in you price range I say go for it.

It’s great to find a cruise ship leaving an area close to you. That way it makes it easier for your guests to come. It would be hard if you had to fly to Hawaii or something like that to take a cruise. From what I’ve noticed, most cruises leave from NY, Miami, Quebec City, and LA. Which ever one you live close too, I would definitely check out your options.

So if you want a cruise wedding, call a cruise line and ask about their benefits. Does anyone know anyone who’s been to a cruise wedding?
