Great Wedding Favour Ideas You Can Do On Your Own

Planning weddings can be quite exhausting. There are so many things to worry about like your dress, hair, make-up, flowers, cake, venues, music, seating arrangements, etc… It’s almost impossible not to forget something. Amidst all the chaos, the last thing you want to do is to forget some of the most important people in your lives, your family and friends who are invited to your wedding.

Everyone struggles with what gifts to give the guests. There are so many cheesy and gimmicky wedding favours that it seems impossible to find something they will actually use and appreciate. You want the wedding favours to be practical and something from the heart. That’s why I believe that hand-made gifts are the greatest of gifts.

One really clever idea is to leave your guest with an array of choices of tea. This is a great wedding favour idea for weddings during all seasons. People drink tea in the cold winter and fall months, and drink tea in the warmer months only they add ice to make ice tea.

First you pick an assortment of tea (Earl Gray, Lemon Tea, Raspberry Tea, Peppermint Tea for winter weddings, etc…). You take two individual tea bags and put them in a really cute parcels tied up in ribbons. Then you place them on different place-settings with the type of tea in the bag and leave it in the entry way of the reception room so they can pick it up on the way in.

If you like, you can give them the entire tea box or a gourmet coffee bag.

Another cool idea I found for wedding favours is to make your guest scented soap. Everyone loves scented soap and if you make it yourself, you can create your own flavors and carve the soap in to whatever shapes you want. You can buy soap makers at you local craft store. Soap making is really fun, easy, and cheap. It’s also a neat little skill to have later in life.

Once you’re done making the soap, put it in cute little parcels with ribbon and place your guest’s names on it. It makes a really cute and creative present.
