Basic “Toss” Garter Is The Missing Link To The “Something Blue” Wedding Rhyme

“Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue…” is the mantra for every bride-to-be when she is planning her outfit for her wedding. This tradition is supposed to bring good luck to the newly wed couple; however it sometimes is difficult to follow completely. A lot of people that I know haven’t stuck to that “rule”, which is totally fine, but I think that I’m going to try my best to stay true to that particular wedding folklore.

Ok, so I have my dress which is bought but still needs to be altered, but at least I’ve checked off the “something new” part of the rhyme. Next, I’m borrowing my best friend’s white heals that fit perfectly. (I really recommend trying to borrow something that would normally be expensive like heals or a veil. That way it knocks out one of the “wedding attire requirements” as well as saves you a ton of money. Shoes are expensive.) I also am going to wear Levi’s Grandmother’s pearl earrings which look great with the pearl design on my dress.

The only thing left I have to do is to find “something blue”. Usually this is the most difficult piece find. You would want to wear something blue yet discrete so you don’t look too tacky. You wouldn’t want to wear a big blue ribbon or anything like that.

So by accident, I was looking online for some good prices in garters when I found these Basic "Toss" Garter. Not only are they on sale, but they also come in an assortment of colors, including blue. This is perfect for anyone who wants to keep to the wedding tradition of wearing something blue. I’m definitely going to get the one of the light blue ones.
