Tips For Your Wedding Registry

One of the great perks of planning a wedding is also planning your wedding registry. I have an office job working as a secretary and I have a lot of down time. So, besides writing in this fabulous blog and looking for other wedding ideas, I also scan the internet looking for things I would want for my home when Levi and I finally move in after the wedding next June. It’s still a little too soon for us to set up a registry, but I’m already starting to get ideas on what I want for my home.

My cousin got married about a month ago and had a few wedding registries going on at once so her guests can pick which place was affordable to them. When you are choosing what items to get, make sure that the items you choose reflect a vast range of price ranges. Like, my sixteen year old sister wanted to get my cousin something for her wedding, but obviously couldn’t afford buying her a full flatware set. So instead, she bought them measuring spoons for about $20. It’s also good to have a variety of prices on you wedding registry so that people who are not so close to you don’t have to feel obligated in spending over $100 in gifts.

When deciding what to put on your wedding registry, you need to really think about what you need. Here are a short list of things that newly weds never thought they would need a lot of but actually did:

bath towels

face towels

cooking mittens

cooking towels

extra flatware

trash can

But most importantly, all newly weds need a filing cabinet to keep their bills and important papers organized.
