Creative Heart Shaped Cookie Wedding Favour Idea

When planning your wedding favours, you are going to want to make sure that they have sentimental meaning and value to your guests. I know it’s hard trying to pick the perfect wedding favour especially when you are so busy and shot for time with all of your other wedding preparations. However, your guests will really appreciate it if you take the time to think about the wedding favours.

Don’t be scared of the words “sentimental wedding favours”. Sometimes when I’m talking to brides about wedding favours, they think that giving their guests something sentimental requires a lot of time and creativity. But it’s not true. I have a really cute idea that is easy to do and sentimental. Your guests will love it.

First of all, you need to understand that giving your guests cookies and candy isn’t a copout. Candy and cookies are completely appropriate wedding favours and it’s a sure hit that your guests will love it. But, just giving your guests cookies or candy alone subtly says that you didn’t have enough time to plan. So you have to make sure that it was well thought out.

One really creative idea for a wedding favour involving cookies is by making a heart shaped cookie that has two halves with your initials on it done in icing. One half has your first initial and the other one has your husband’s first initial on it. Or you can give your guests two whole cookies, each one with your initial on them. You can either make these cookies yourself (if you have the time), or order them from your local bakery.

Put the cookies in a cute box bedded with jellybeans (like a little nest). You might also want to put a tea bag in the box for them to drink at your wedding reception. This wedding favour idea is simple, creative, and sentimental. Your guests will love it.
