Beach Wedding Decoration And Music Suggestions

Last weekend I went on a camping trip on the beach with Levi and another couple. We had a really great time soaking up the last few warm days of the season. While we were there, a beach wedding was taking place and it made me want to have a beach wedding next summer.

One thing I really enjoyed was the way the wedding was set up and the wedding attire. It was a small wedding and all of the guests were sitting in white folding chairs facing the water. The alter was a white trellis with big pink flowers (lilies I believe) threaded through it. This really created a very serene and calm view for the guests, and not to mention a great scene for a photo op.

Another thing I really enjoyed about how the wedding looked, was that the groomsmen were all wearing a loose sea blue buttoned up beach shirt with white slacks folded up past the ankles. They also had the matching flowers from the trellis in their pockets. This created a really nice consistency of colors and themes. Plus the groomsmen were all barefoot which made it more of a relaxed occasion.

The bridesmaids were all wearing the pink flowers in their hair and blue Hawaiian style dresses. They too were barefoot, but wore pink anklets around one ankle for a perfect touch. The flower girl was so cute. She wore a pretty white dress with a pink wreath and threw pink petals on the sand.

As you can see, this couple was keeping the decorations and consistent even down to the smallest details of the pink anklets, and pink flower petals for the bride to walk down. However, another thing that was really great was that they hired a steel drum band to play during as background music before the bride came. This gave the entire atmosphere a “tropical beach” feel. Plus, when the bride finally came down the aisle, the steel drum band played a wonderful rendition to the classic “Wedding March”.

I just thought to share with you what I saw. If any of you brides have either been to a beach wedding or are planning one, I’d love to hear your comments and experiences. After all, this site is to exchange ideas and testimonies!
