Princess Wedding Invitations For A Fairy Tale Wedding

dreamstime_3228770.jpgFairy tales have always inspired little girls to become a princess. Walt Disney helped escalate that fantasy even more. Yes, like it or not almost every girl dreams of becoming a princess. Reality may rein in those fantasies but that does not happen until the girl reaches 12 years old or so.

Cinderella, Aurora, Snow White all ended up looking resplendent on their wedding day when they finally have their prince’s love and attention, and they are made even more alluring with Disney’s magical touches that girls the world over sighs with envy just looking at their pictures.

For many girls that wish to become a princess, even for a day, lasts a long time. About the only time she can live that dream will be on her wedding day when she can be decked out in true princess-like white dress complete with a long train, don the tiara on her head and have that long veil flows wildly when she happily runs off for the day with her Prince Charming. And yes, let’s not forget that glass slippers although to be practical, such footwear is actually made of clear plastic. Completing the look is a pair of white gloves that covers all the way up to over her elbows.

Hence, countless shops offer Disney princess-inspired wedding gowns, most of them using organza, chantilly, chiffon, satin and tulle fabrics, all embellished with lace, ribbons, crystals, pearls, embroidery and beads. Yes, there is hardly a girl who does not want to become a princess. Even if she had outgrown all things fairy tale in her mind by the time she reaches adulthood, a girl would still feel like a princess on her wedding day, no matter the chosen theme of the event.

Fairy Tale Romance.jpg So it should not be a surprise why wedding dress shops offer such princess-like dresses for the bride and matching frocks for her bridesmaids and coordinated dressed for the flowers girls. Fashion designers too are at fault for feeding that desire to have a fairy tale wedding. After all, the union of two people in love is always likened to fairy tale romances.

Fathers of the bride must share some of the blame. Which father does not want his daughter to be absolutely happy on her wedding day, right? And if she happens to look like a true princess on her big day, it feeds daddy’s pride all the more, perhaps making it easier for the man to let her go embark on her own life’s journey with her chosen man.

So it has been noted how some weddings do evoke a fairy tale feel. In fact, most of such weddings are purposely organized with such a theme in mind. And to make sure the guests come mentally and personally prepared for such an event, the wedding invitations usually make such themes known well in advance.

This helps guests prepare for suitable gifts and their own attire. Mind you, many a guest would love to participate in such occasions given the right amount of notice. Some have been known to come dressed in similar princess-like dresses, maybe slightly tones down in respect for the wedded couple especially the bride.

Our Little Princess.jpg Knowing that wedding invitations set the mood and theme of the event, brides who plan to become a princess on her big day should choose similar wedding invitation cards to send to guests. Her invitations – one of those princess wedding invitations – excite her guests.

There are plenty of such cards in the market. Just Google for it and you would face a long list of companies that offer them. The amount can be overwhelming. But take heart. Even though the number of choices can make you dizzy, you can still have a princess wedding invitation card that is unique by ensuring the wordings used are customized by you and your fiancé, or the family.

If you happen to have chosen a scroll as a wedding stationery, make sure it depicts some fairy tale castles too for added effect. While you work on its special wordings, these medieval castle wedding invitations would certainly give the message that your wedding is based on a fairy tale.

But if pictures hinting of fairy tales are not your cup of tea, why not try for classic designs like a square and layered invitation that features a white flat card mounted onto a shimmering pearl, dotted card. It becomes much nicer if the pearl card folds over at the top to form a pointed flap, held in place by a white chiffon ribbon tied around the middle. Of course, the envelopes must also be pearly in look, or plain elegant white.

Adding more effect to the wedding celebrations are white flower arrangements, silver cutlery, silver bells for reception decorations, intricate candle stands for table centerpieces and a whole gamut of lace and trinkets.
