Children’s Menu A Cost Saving Idea – Ask The Expert Answer
Question From Eloisa:
The place where we may have our reception is also doing the food. We are thinking of Tri-tip for the adults and it wasn’t until recently I remembered about the kids food. They do have a childrens menu of hot dogs, hamburgers, corn dogs and chicken strips. I am trying to think at what age should be the
childrens menu. Should the kids ages range 2 – 12 yrs. and the children 13 yrs and up for the Tri-tip? I could be wrong, can you help me on deciding on the ages for the Tri-tip and the childrens menu?
Answer from Bridal Expert Angela:
Hi Eloisa. You are correct. A children’s menu is usually for age 12 and under. Your caterer’s menu sound perfect. These items are usually served with french fries or potato wedges, and a common vegetable. If you need to choose only one option from your list and are unsure, ask your guests who have children what their children like best, and use your judgement. This is also a great cost saving idea, as the plate cost is less than for a adult meal.
