Question from Nicole:
I’m having an outdoor wedding in my mom’s backyard, on the grass…and i’ve been racking my brain trying to think of something that we can put onto the grass that’s inexpensive so that we’re not all sinking into it. Is there anything that you can suggest to me???
Answer from Bridal Expert Angela:
Hi Nicole, and congratulations on your upcoming wedding. I suggest you measure the area where you will be, and have some plywood precut at your local hardware store to that size.
If you are having the ceremony in the yard, I would suggest the aisle and ceremony area to have plywood underfoot. This can be covered with aisle runners found at this link. This will stop any unnecessary tripping when walking down the aisle.
At every outdoor wedding I have attended, they have always used plywood to create a stable floor.
I hope this has been helpful.
