Bolton, Ontario is a community belonging to the township of Caledon. It is 50 km north-west of Toronto, and is located in the Region of Peel. Being the most populated community of Caledon, Bolton boasts of around 26,000-27,000 residents living there. Due to its large population, almost all of Bolton are developed for real estate and housing. Bolton has four sub divisions, and they are New Glasgow (west of Bolton), Tormore (Southeast), Taylorwoods (northeast) and Queensgate (east). These subdivisions are also turned into housing areas for the people of Bolton.

Bolton is connected to the outside world via two superhighways named Highway 427 and Highway 400. Using these highways, people of Bolton could easily go to its neighboring divisions namely Brampton, Kitchener, Barrier, Orangeville and Hamilton and vice versa.

A Quick glance into Bolton’s History
Bolton was originally known as Bolton’s Mill, a village established by James Bolton in 1794. James Bolton was actually helping his relative George Bolton when he built the flour mill on the Humber River in the valley of Bolton.
