Funny Wedding Cake Toppers for a Bridal Shower

It’s a usual cycle in your everyday life. You’re back home from work and as you’re getting ready for dinner the phone rings. Your best friend calls, drops the news that her boyfriend finally popped the question and she’s getting married. The wedding is about to happen in a month time.

Of course, needless to be told, you are exhilarated for her and want nothing else but happiness for her. After saying goodbyes and exchanging air-kisses, you got off the phone and realize so many things need to be done. You are suddenly in charge of ensuring that the bridal shower is well organized. After all it is your best friend’s wedding.

Realizing the fact that you only have less than 30 days to help create a perfect bridal shower for your best friend, you took charge by calling for an emergency meeting among your girlfriends.

One thing that you always need to keep in mind is this is a bridal shower for your best friend. Therefore, whatever is planned for the surprise needs to be in line with what your best friend likes and prefers most. After all the whole idea of creating a bridal shower is to give your best friend the last bid of sweet goodbye as she ends her journey as a “single bachelorette’ before she leaves the single world forever and start embarking on her journey towards being a wife and a mother.

Assuming that you have known your best friend for half of your live and are pretty confident that you know most of her likes and dislikes (that should be the case or else you won’t be the best friend that you are, would you then?) you are ready to plan for the bridal party.

First thing that needs to be decided is the theme of the shower. If your best friend is the type of person who enjoys going out to the club and party all night long, it is safe to plan the bridal shower at a club. To add a little twist and surprise to it, why not have it at a club that she was never in before or request for a special VIP treatment for that special day.

You should also have all her favorite food and drinks available at all times and maybe surprise her with a sexy man fire-eater to entertain and to spark up her night. To top it off, have a nice big cake with exotic wedding cake toppers in a form of a dancing queen.   That would surely be a night she will never forget. I mean, there is no rule of giving away a wedding cake before the big day is there? While you are at it, why not use one of those funny wedding cake toppers where the bride is having the upper hand dragging the groom’s leg along the walkway.

If your best friend is more of a laid back kind, who enjoys a quiet night at home with her cat and a nice book or a movie, then maybe you can plan something sweet and simple at your place. You and your group of friends can surprise her with a nice homemade dinner. After that you can all enjoy a night of girls only where you sit back, kick the slippers away and go down the memory lane together of how young and simple life used to be once.

A nice movie with ice cream and cookies can certainly make the night worthwhile. And of course, if you are up to it, there is no harm in baking a cake and add a funny cute cake topper like a cute little kitten. You can’t exactly top her real wedding cake with a cute little kitten no matter how fond she is of the cat on the real big day could you?

Whatever you do, always try to keep in mind that the bridal shower is meant for your best friend and is for her to remember for the rest of her life. It is also to show what friends are for and therefore it needs to be done in the most symbolic and meaningful manner, no matter how cliché it might sound. After all, your best friend is really leaving the single world and would not be spending half of her time as she used to with the group.

Let her know that you wish every good thing would come her way and that you would always support her in everything that she does and be there when she needs a friend. If you’re more of the adventurous type, it is also very important to keep in mind that your best friend is getting married soon and not to go over the board with the party, as you don’t want to offend her fiancé with your agendas.
