Outdoor Wedding Decorations to Accent Your Wedding

The clear bright sky, the twinkling lights from the dark sky, the friendly breeze, the bountiful trees, the melodious music of birds, the calming rhythm of waves…these are natural visual and auditory decorations that will spice up your wedding if you bring it out-of-doors.

Aside from those mentioned, there are tangible decorations for outdoor weddings that you can use to accentuate the wedding venue. Depending on your budget, you can get the most glamorous and expensive or the reasonably-priced yet elegant.

Arches or Canopies.
In an outdoor wedding, the arch is the center of attention. Guests will most likely be amazed at how well-decorated it is. Once the bride and groom are underneath the arch, it allows the guests to focus their attention on them during the ceremony proper instead of somewhere else. It provides the perfect frame for picture-taking. If you plan to have a beach wedding but on a tight budget, make use of palms to create a wedding arch. Flowers, ribbons and tulles can do magic.

Light Garland Columns.
Grecian columns with chiffon crossing from behind will surely look stunning. Black iron columns will work if you have a Gothic themed wedding.  These columns are detachable so in case it rains or when the wedding is over, they are easy to dismantle for safekeeping and for future use.

Torches. For evening beach weddings, bamboo tiki torches can add lighting and drama. If the wedding will take place in your background but you want to have the island feel, this is the answer. There are two kinds of tiki torches you can choose from depending on purpose. For windy places like the beach, you can use the propane tiki torches because its flame burns steadier and longer. For a venue which you suspect has a lot of insects, use a tiki torch with citronella oil. It doesn’t only repel insects but it also gives out a very nice scent.

Tents.
You wouldn’t want to see your guests either soaking in sweat because of the heat of the sun or water because of a downpour. They certainly need a sort of shelter in case the weather decides not to cooperate with you. No need to buy a tent because it may be costly. You can just rent or if you have an old one available, flower vines can do the transformation for unsightly poles.

Ground Luminaries. On a lovely evening, seeing the pathway lighted by ground luminaries is very romantic. This will enchant your guests as the lights lead them to the wedding venue. It’s not only the bride who can have the grand entrance, these luminaries will give your guests the feeling that they are very much welcome to the event. Ground luminaries come in a variety of stylish designs such as the popular heart and dove design and wedding bells design.

Fans and Heaters. If you plan to have an outdoor wedding in Fall when the weather is cooler or in Summer when the weather is really hot, you have to consider having fans or heaters. You have to ensure that your guests are comfortable throughout the wedding including the reception. For locations where there is no easy access to electricity, rent a generator to keep the fans or heaters running.

magic mounts Chairs. Chairs are not only accessories to be seated upon by the people at the wedding. It is a very functional decoration. By simply adding bows, ribbons, swag garlands or chair sashes you can make these chairs really presentable.

Tables. This is also a functional decoration at the reception. What is the first thing that comes to your mind when you think of table centerpiece? Floral arrangements? Yes, it is the traditional centerpiece that everybody loves. Decide if you want fresh, artificial flowers or a combination of both. Another centerpiece that you may want to have is a set of decorative pillar candles. Make sure that your candles have plates or candleholders to keep them secured.

Make use of these outdoor wedding decorations to make an impressive impact on your wedding day. Let these decorations combine with the beauty of the environment to give you the best wedding you deserve.
