Wedding Favors to Remember

Everyone dreams of a perfect wedding day, and sure enough, would want the memories of the day to last forever, not only for the newlyweds, but for the guests as well. This is where choosing the perfect wedding favors as a keepsake gift for your guests become so important, as you would want your guests to remember the special day the way you remember it.

The Italians started out giving Bomboniere or also known as favors, to their guests on special occasions a long time ago. Traditionally, Bomboniere are five sugared almonds contained in delicate tulles and fine boxes, which in weddings symbolizes health, wealth, happiness, fertility and long life. As people get more creative, we can see that the wedding favors nowadays no longer consist of sweets, but also candles, vases and even pens, just to name a few.

Today there are a lot of wedding favors to choose from – edible ones such as cakes, candies and chocolates or non-edible ones such as soap, candles and key chains. You can stick to the traditional designs that consist of tulles that encapsulates sugared almonds or chocolate dragees, or go for unique favors such as magnets and cards and even a set of bride and groom miniature piggy banks! You can also have your wedding favors go with your wedding theme with Asians-themed wedding favors or beach wedding favors. Perhaps you can have different wedding favors for your male and female guests – for example, blue for the male guests, pink for the female guests, or even a separate wedding favor just for your younger guests, such as Disney character chocolates. 

So how do you make the right choice of choosing your perfect wedding favors? People would normally choose small-sized wedding favors as they are usually put on the table where each person is sitting. If you would you like something simple as your wedding favor for your guests, those candles you can find in all shapes and sizes, and even in different colors and scent would be perfect!
 
For those that want their wedding favors to be unique, worry not as you can personalize your favors with details such as your names and wedding dates. There are even stores that will let you mix and match and create your own unique favors, and if you are good with your hands and prefer to create things yourself, you can simply buy individual favor components or accessories from the store and make them yourself.

If your wedding already has a theme, you will have to take this into consideration – pick a wedding favor that matches your theme. It can be as easy as matching the color of your wedding favors to the color of your wedding theme, such as a blue favor box if your wedding theme is blue, or it can be something more fun such as giving personalized seashells if you are having a beach theme wedding.
 
What if you are on a tight budget? Simply choose wisely. A simple flower that is meaningful to you and your other half can be great as your wedding favor. You can make your wedding favor have that personalized touch by adding in inexpensive personalized ribbons or labels. Simple inexpensive gifts such as place card holders or personalized wedding napkins also make for an ideal wedding favor.
 
You just have to keep in mind that favors don’t really have to be expensive. Be smart and spend within your means, as there are favors that can run from about $1-$35 per guest, depending on how much you want to spend. You can shop around beforehand and choose a shop that can give you the best deal. What’s even better, with the availability of the Internet nowadays, you can shop around online and check out the best deals without leaving the comfort of your own home. For those on a tight budget, fret not as there are online stores that let you browse their favors sorted by price.
 
The key to getting your perfect wedding favors would be to plan ahead. With the abundance of designs and varieties to choose from, it takes time for a couple to decide on getting the perfect wedding favor. Just remember, it is a way to share your memorable day with all the guests and a way for them to remember how memorable your special day was!
