You’re weeks away from your big day. By this time, you will be busy planning and executing the details of your wedding. Every so often, try as you might, you may miss out one or two items that you should have planned earlier for your wedding.

Things like wedding table decorations are sometimes deemed as unimportant and therefore will be neglected and discussed too late in your planning. Before you know it, you have two weeks to go and you suddenly realize that you haven’t exactly planned for your table decorations. What’s more, you have used up nearly your entire budget and couldn’t afford to splursh on big elaborated decorations.

Wedding Table DecorationsSo what are you to do? Fear not, even if you don’t have a big budget, you can still come up with beautiful and elegant centerpieces for the tables of your guests.

As big beautiful elaborated fresh flowers is not really within your grasp due to your limited budget, and if you still insist on having flowers to cover up the tables, you can still do so. Instead of using fresh flowers, you can always switch to the ever ready silk flowers.

Although some people are totally against these silk flowers, saying that they look fake and cheap but nowadays, thanks to the advancement of technology, silk flowers look almost real to the naked eye. Not only that, it comes in many different types of varieties and colors.

Head to your local florist store and just pick and choose your favorite. Remember to match it with your wedding theme and colors.

Another trick to arranging these flowers are to add fresh ferns or baby breathes or other real flowers that can compliment the whole arrangement. By mixing the real fresh ferns with silk flower, you will be surprised at what a transition it would be.

While you might have a near perfect centerpiece, fresh flowers can really lighten up your wedding reception. You can buy some aromatherapy oil that has a similar smell to the flowers that you have chosen. Light up the candles and there you have it,, a romantic sensational environment, all within your budget.

If big elaborated flowers aren’t really your thing, and you are more of a simple type of person who wishes to have a simple nice wedding, things are looking brighter for you. If you still don’t know what to place on your guests’ tables, you can always position a few scented candles in the middle of the table.

Table Decorations

Nowadays you can find a lot of these beautiful candles that come with great and sophisticated ornaments or candle stands in party shops. What’s more, the price is usually reasonably cheap and they come in different colors and sizes to match with your wedding theme.

If you want to add a little twist, put them in bowls of water and add a flower petal or two just to give it some colors. If you are against flowers 100%, and depending on your theme, you can drop sea shells or rocks in the bowl of water.  Not only would it save you money, it would also help to illuminate the whole room giving it an extra mysterious touch.

Table CenterpieceAnother original yet fantastic idea to have in the middle of your centerpiece is to have a romantic picture of the bride and groom in the middle of the table. Take a nice romantic picture of both you and the groom, preferably not one of a wedding photo but something sweeter and more charming like a picture of the newlyweds holding hands on the beach.

To add to more romantic moods have them in black and white. Once you have developed the pictures, framed them with your own choice of frame that suits your wedding theme (iron or metal frame, wooden frame or even cartoon frame, just to give you some ideas). Once you have your photos, you might want to decorate the photo with other items to spice things up. If you have a beach theme, you can add some sea shells and sands and place all of them nicely in rattan tray.

If you prefer to have more colors in your wedding, you can arrange your photo nicely around some fruits and nuts like grapes and strawberries. Another fun idea is to mix them around with bright or romantic heart-shape like candies.

Do remember that the centerpiece is not the only important aspect of the whole presentation of the table for your guests. Use your imagination and creative ideas to set up the table the way to your liking. Play around with colors for your tablecloth, your dining ware, napkins and don’t forget to decorate your guests’ chairs while you’re at it. Tying a simple bundle of ferns or covering the chairs with laces is a good fun idea of adding some zests to your wedding fiesta. Once you have it all figured out, you will be surprised that although it’s a last minute preparation, it will turn out just right. Who knows, someone would be hiring you as a wedding planner in the future.
